Devildogs,

Wish you well during the reunion.
Please pass my regards to my friends.
I'm getting ready for my Basic Class reunion next weekend in DC.

A bit of Historical trivia.
Did you know that the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) made a port call in Danang back in April 1845?

Look for a plaque with the names of the Marine detachment on the ship.

See you in San Antonio.

Semper Fi,

Andy

Hi Mike,
Just want to say, my wife and I had a great time in Boston. It was great to meet some of the guys I served with at 3rd bridge. Please note my e-mail address has changed to: lvarney@gwi.net.
Thanks for all your hard work and will look forward to seeing some photos of the reunion.

Gunny, Mike, Norm and Harry:
I noticed on the database sheet of addresses, etc. that was provided in the registration packets at the reunion that my email address has a glitch in it. The correct address is loik2@q.com You might also add HQ Co to B Co under the company column for my data. I mostly consider myself a Bravo Co. guy but I have to fess up to a few months at Camp Love.

Thanks to all who worked on organizing this year's reunion. I had a great time and so did my wife. We stayed in the general Boston area for over a week after the reunion. We just got home Tuesday night. We had a great trip. The good rate you secured at the Sheraton Ferncroft was part of making that whole trip possible. We stayed there for a total of 6 nights and then stayed elsewhere 6 other nights. Thanks again.
Semper Fi,
Dick

Click on: HARRY DILL 2007 REUNION VIDEO/PICTURES

Folks this video is a bit long with over 150 pictures and 13 minutes long however, I believe you will enjoy the show. Surely, this video captures the Esprit de Corps and Frater Infinitas (Brothers Forever) feelings attending one of our 7th Engineer Battalion Reunions brings to all in attendance. This year we had some 74 Marines in attendance with wife's and family there was over 130 people.

My heartfelt thank you to:
• Harry Dill for the excellent photos, work on the Brochure and his lovely wife Carol for her multiple tasks of assistance.
• Bill Cross and Patrick Barnes for the Point men work in Boston.
• Norm Johnson for his work with the Battalion ledger, Raffle Prizes, Shirt Orders and a long list of details I will never be able to remember.
• Dave Haunty for his work with the Battalion Memorial Wall, KIA Dog Tag Display, Last Man Standing Award and transporting it all to/from all our reunions.
• No acknowledgement would be complete, without mentioning, Colonel Frank Harris III (Retired) our former Battalion Commander for his devotion in keeping the troops (our Board of Directors in particular) in line.
• We are forever grateful to Doug 'Gunny' McMackin for his efforts, in founding, the gathering point for the Battalion at http://www.usmc.org/7th/ and taking the reins as President.
• Did I mention our Marine's Ladies, for their devotion, love and support, of us old Jarheads, that is not always an easy task? Also for the many women who help within the Reunion event.

Often Tested, Always Faithful, Brothers Forever
